Stop Polygamy in Canada Society filed an affidavit with the Utah Court system when the trial involving the UEP trust (United Effort Plan) happened. Our affidavit was filed on behalf of those who could not speak for themselves re property rights with the FLDS owning all lands/property inhabited by its members giving its members no say in where they could live or if they could live on the properties. Germany’s Muslim Polygamy Epidemic!

I was honoured to give a speech “Child Brides, Lost Boys and the Harms of Polygamy” to over 250 people at the Education Auditorium at the U of A for the Edmonton Life Long Learning Association last week. A technical problem delayed my speech somewhat so I did not get to touch on Muslim Polygamy in Canada. Nor the fact that the riots in France in 2010 and in England 2012 were largely due to large groups of fatherless youth caught in a never-ending cycle of poverty due to Muslim polygamy. The following video news clip is about the Muslim polygamy epidemic in Germany. There is no political will in Canada to prosecute known Muslim or Mormon or Christian polygamists. The political will must come from pressure from an educated public who will not tolerate the crime of polygamy and its harms in Canada. Nancy Mereska

Unfortunately, what we see here is a family reaping thousands of dollars with their show “Sister Wives” putting a veneer face on polygamy; while world-wide research puts the real, ugly face on polygamy. The State of Utah has said many times it “will not prosecute a religious belief” but federal laws and its own law against bigamy contradict the government’s status quo. The positive side of this panel discussion is that it brings more exposure to the crime that is polygamy. If people want to dig deeper, they will. NM
